excited to share with you this week a couple of fun tutorials that my dear girl, Robin Blackman, has done for me.. using some of our past kits from Scarlet lime! wahoo! Robin has been working on doing tutorials and projects for me, using past kits of our from the Scarlet Lime store! I love sending her kit because she seriously just does such fun unique things with them. My FAVORITE is what she did with the july kit (that is being shown thursday).... holy cow so creative!
AND if you use coupon code; robinrocks at checkout (all lowercaps)
you will receive 30% off!
This is good towards ANY of our mixed media/ art journaling/ or papercrafting kits! here is the direct link to that section in our store!
however.. Now keep in mind.. most of the products she uses can TOTALLY be substitued with things YOU Have on hand already.. so you can totally re-create these tutorials too! even if you don't have the kit she used!
The first one I am sharing with you is the project she did using the 2013 August mixed media kit! (available in our store HERE)..
She created this shadow box using all the pieces from the August Kit! (the shadow box wasn't included in the kit).. but i LOVE how she kinda made "mini" canvases with each box!
Something you guys could TOTALLy do with cute little 2"x3" canvases.. or even 4x4 canvases! and then hang them on a wall as an art collection piece!
Love how she used paper and paints and embellishments and even pictures to capture fun memories!
Just so fun!
If you want to see step by step instructions on how she put this together.. click on the link below and download the PDF tutorial which includes written instructions and step by step pictures!
So what else is new?
well tomorrow I am leaving to teach at the Fabulous retreat.. Nuture your Creative Seed that the sweet Ms. Serena Berry hosts on Bainbrdige Island just outside of Seattle! It's a weekend retreat featuring me and Junelle! I can't WAIT to go and spend the weekend with these wondeful ladies! AND the best part is I get to see my dear true Chrissy who is coming along too! I AM STOKED! I love Bainbridge Island.. I was there last year attending as a STUDENT at this very same retreat Serena was hosting! I got to take classes from Jeanne Oliver and Mindy Lacefield and It was SO seriously awesome.
By the way.. I STARTED filming a tutorial for you sweet girls (and guys) yesterday, but was cut short because apparently my kids had some acitivites going on that required me driving them around town for 2 hours lol. Something they had forget to mention to me earlier. or ever. But it's all good! everything is still set up, ready and waiting for when I get back! I did film the first part it, so next week after I get home, settled and caught up from being gone for 4 days, i will film the rest and get THAT tutorial posted as well!
Come back on Thursday, when I post Robins other mixed media project she did for you guys! SERIOUSLY it's my favorite! I am DYING to make one!
see you then!
