I loved the May Challenge this month and kept it in mind when creating a layout with the May Frugal Fab Kit! My one and only child is getting ready to turn the big 10...yes, double digits people and well...to be frank, I am having a bit of a problem with this. 10 years old and 5th grade just sounds too old. So I wanted to pay tribute to this very challenging yet kinda cool time in her life:
Here are a few close ups:
I painted the chipboard number base with Liquitex ink in Iridescent Copper, then stamped over the top with Staz On ink in Stone Grey and new to the SL store Prima Stamp Distressed Screen!
The fun pattern here was created by using a base of Liquitex Acrylic Ink in Vivid Lime then a fun technique of using the new Faber Castel Gelato in white and the brand new Prima Fab Background Masks (these are SERIOUSLY cool!!!!!) So you can see there are LOTS of fun products from the Scarlet Lime Store!!
I would love to encourage you to create a tribute layout to a loved one in your life and don't forget to link it up to this post HERE! You could win yourself $25 to buy some of the AWESOME products that I mentioned from the Scarlet Lime Store! You can find more about the challenge and see what projects other participants have created HERE!

Here's my try:
