I am sitting here in the basements of the Meredith Corporation headquarters. That is where they do all the live video shoots, "still shots" and those BEAUTIFUL cover shots for most of the Better Homes and Gardens Magazines (like decoration home etc) They build like makeshift "rooms" or houses and all inside this massive studio! I was walking through it this morning (by myself.. very casual).. on my way to hair and make up and it was cool because I passed three different shoots going on. (still shoots).. for 3 different magazines. My favorite happened to be right next to me in this big open space where the makeup and hair lady, Nancy. was fixing me up. They were with one of the fashion magazines that Meredith owns, and the models were trying on outfits.. getting accessories, etc. That was so FUN to watch! cool stuff!
I am officially done with my videos.. MAN yesterday I had a ton of retakes.. it took me 4 hours to get through one segment! But today.. I went through a segment in less than 1 hour!! I was pretty proud of myself! It's been good to see my friends: Melissa, Katie, Michelle, Poly, Janna and so many others! I even got to meet a few new people, like the video people and the make up girl.. and they are SO NICE!
I have to tell you.. I even bought a bunch of makeup from Nacy, the makeup artist who made me look FABULOUS everyday. It's called "everyday essentials" and it's mineral makeup that just makes you GLOW!.. but she swears by it and says it's better than bare essential! The price was so GOOD compared to Bare essentials.. the foundation is $12, Blush $8, eyeshadow $6. All of the make up is multi purpose.. it can be used ANYWHERE on your skin. I looked SOOO good! I am sold on that mineral makeup! I don't think you can buy it in stores.. it's like a spa makeup, but I told her I was going to post about it on here, and she said, if anyone contacts her from my blog and ends up purchasing some make up, she will give them 2 free samples of their choice (and the samples have more product in them than regular stuff you buy at the STORE), PLUS Free shipping! Since they don't have a website because they are such a high end brand, you can't see products on line, BUT she can send you a color card and she will even e-mail and talk to you about what colors would be best on your face.. (like for your eye color, skin tone, etc). So check her out.. Click here to e-mail her. She ROCKS.. make sure you mention my name when you e-mail her to get your free samples!
Went out to dinner last night with Janna and Michelle and had a great time.. GOOD fun.. holy cow yum!
I was thinking the other day I haven't really done a giveaway in a while! Remember those felt books I showed a few months back? Well i had bought a bunch to use for a kit for a "small" class, but I keep giving them away as part of a goody bag packs with matching paper, embellishments, ribbon, etc. (just a fun small goodybag to create a cool minialbum project or something). The books are pretty small, like only 4"x5" or something like that.. but fun for alot of small projects. Anyhow.. now I only have like 6 or so left.. not nearly enough to do a class kit with.. SO i was thinking I would do another giveaway and create a goody bag of products with each one. paper, flowers, buttons ribbons, etc. AND Maybe something else fun too!
Sorry I don't have a picture.. I am still here in Des Moines.. going home today.. but i promise.. they are SO CUTE!
so here is the rules: First post on this blog in reference to the question I have for you. Second: I will pick 6 winners this SUNDAY (because I can't ship them until Monday anyway) and Annice them on Monday morning. So my question is: what is your favorite color combination right now?
I will tell you mine later when I Annice the winners! remember.. we are picking 6 this time!!
have a great day...
Christy
