oh my heck! that was a long week/endish.. kinda break? But guess what! I am back! wahoo! and ready to share some fun with you! Today I am working on this week's creatively inspired "challenge".. that I will be sharing with you on friday.. BUT today.. I had to come on and tell you about my new online mini-workshop!
So.. if you are like me.. you are crazy busy this summer.. and aren't finding a ton of time to create.. BUT but that doesn't stop us from WANTING to still be creative!
I know I do.. in fact I find myself wanting to be more creative.. and be inspired by all the colors and hues of summer! I find inspiration all around me and want to run to my art studio and create. Don't you? Well I might just find have the perfect "mini" workshop for both of us!
so... Introducing my new on-line "min" workshop..
Creative Color: Art Redefined.
Creative Color: Art Redefined
a one week mini workshop
When it comes to art, color is EVERYTHING.Color evokes emotions.. and passions.. and memories, and it sets the stage for the art we are creating. Often times, I think we get too comfortable with the colors that we use and we don't realize how much color really contributes to the art we make. Whether it be in art journals, on canvas, mixed media projects or in papercrafting.. we all have our "favorite color , we tend to go to for inspiration. I know I do! I often times find myself going back to the same colors and color combinations over and over again. While this isn't always a bad thing.. it's also fun to sometimes get creative with color and give our art a whole new meaning. Well this class is a fun mini workshop for summer, that will help you break out of that "color" habit and learn to create with color in a whole new way!
New content will be posted monday-friday during the week of class but the classroom will be open for 3 months after the workshop begins. Day one we will talk about color in art and creative places where you can find color inspiration. I will show you how to create and keep a color inspiration journals/styleboards, that will keep your inspiration organized and easily accessible for future projects. Plus on day one, I will show you a project I create using a color scheme totally out of my comfort zone and you will have an assignment to do one too! Then each day through friday, a new color inspiration, board, and project will be posted, that will help YOU break out of the rut you are in and start seeing color in a whole new way! Come learn how to look at color in a whole new way! This class will be taught on a private website with full videos, PDF downloads and patterns!
Come join me in this fun mini workshop perfect for your colorful summer!
