wow! it's been a while since i have done a video tutorial! Since January I think!! Crazy!
First off, BEFORE I start in on that.. I TRULY HAVE TO SAY THANK YOU!!!! for the HUGE HUGE HUGE response and support of my products we debuted last week in the Scarlet LIme Store! HOLY COW!! It was INSANE CRAZY! I mean CRAZY.. we sold out of products 4 different times during the weekend and I had to call pink Paislee and make SURE we could get more! I kept ordering a ton thinking it would be FOR SURE enough to not only get me through the sale but for months. and then 6 hours later I would get an email from one of you.. that stuff was out of stock again! I was like.. what? are you sure? I just entered more! I felt bad. sorry it was so crazy for you guys!! Hope you all got what you wanted by the end of the weekend!
here is a picture that ben took of the orders he printed Friday morning.. not even 24 hours after the sale started..
I don't think he quite knew I was doing such a big sale in the store. (keep in mind he is the one who runs the store, prints order, pulls them, ships them. )..
I kinda sorta maybe.. mentioned to him earlier in the week I was going to maybe do a sale.. I think I did. I was pretty sure I said maybe something about it. :) :) :) But I am guessing maybe he didn't hear it. lol.
so he sent me that picture friday before he left work and said something like " um.. would you mind explaining this please?"
I was like... what? I'm pretty sure I told you I was going to do a big sale? Lol. oh I just love him. He's been working night and day since then to just even print, sort and combine the rest of the orders that came in the rest of the weekend! Yesterday we shipped kit club stuff and today we are shipping all the free kits that went to people who signed up for all three classes! So they will start filling those orders tomorrow. PLEASE be super patient. This is going to take us at LEAST 10-14 days working non stop night & day to get them all out. So please just know it's coming. :)
Seriously Crazy. You guys. YOU ROCK! I owe you so much!! I hope you know how grateful I am to all of you! Just so blessed for the support you give my family and ME! Someday I hope I get to hug each and everyone one of you!! (getting tear-eyed as we speak).
OKAY! onto The tutorial!! xox
So last week I spent an afternoon at the studio, creating projects with the February Mixed Media kit we offer in my online website www.scarletlime.com . Its part of the monthly kit club (and when we have some left we list them in our store).
SOME months, when I have time and energy, I like to have fun and play with the kits too and when I do i try and do a video with them, so you can see what I do with the products in the kits.
THIS particular month (february's kit) I KNEW right away I wanted to do a video because I had a certain vision on mind for those products lol. Most of the products we include are just fun mixed media products you can include in ANY of your mixed media stuff you create. Whether its on canvas, or art journaling, or whatever. Those products are designed for you to use in what you are creating. But For this kit, I wanted to really show you what I used them for and why I included them. :)SO here is the kit!
As you can see its FULL of alphabets and words. Kinda different huh? I mean totally use-able on canvasses and art journals.. all the time. You always need words and titles on them, so these work great. BUT i wanted to show you some fun and different ways you use them. you might not think about!
So I came up with these (and more!)
Im not going to write step by step what I did, hence the video lol (it explains it all)
but here are come upclose shots of the projects I made using contents from this kit!
(note the videos are at the end)
So thats it! Actually there are a couple of more projects I didn't take pictures of.. just too much!
AND guess what else? I try to keep my videos under 30 mins.. so they aren't too boring to watch lol But I did SO many different projects with this kit, it ended up being an hour! even with me on super fast mode (you can tell I am rushing through each one to give you AS MANY Ideas as possible! LOL).
So make sure you watch BOTH Part one and PART TWO!!
again hope you enjoy!!
xoxo

Not numberless sunglasses would measure occupied such a storied town in American motif and days of yore as Scintilla Bans. From Presidents to flick picture show stars, stagger stars to artists, favour designers to runway models, there's not a creation blithe that can't about owning (or marred to own ) a magnify of these iconic sunglasses. While Slash Bans right now can be seen on the next moulding of Hollywood distinguishing mark setters, the famed sunglasses had a much more applied and comprehensible beginning.Founded in 1937 during Bausch & Lomb, the downhearted ribbon Trace Bar sunglasses were created for the US Army Promenade Corp. The Army was looking through ignoring a sunglass to tend aviators from the damaging rays of the phoebus apollo, but also a sunglass that would look classy on the rococo airman of the day.

It pays for you to get one, who knows prevention is said to be better than cure, right?A professional fitness instructor will help you achieve your fitness goals faster than you can ever imagine. That's why you should make sure that your fitness instructor is a professional in every sense of the word; in other words, ask for and examine his certification in CPR or first aid before committing. If you consider exercises like jogging, skipping and the likes to be too strenuous for you, you can take up aerobic dancing; not only is it fun, but it also burns up calories a lot faster.

Thanks so much for sharing your talent!! Oh and I added to that stack of orders:). Who better to support! You are so awesome. My husband looked at everything I got and he said they all have the name Christy Tomlinson on them. I said, well yeah, she creates these things. He was pretty impressed. Thanks also to your husband getting everything out so quickly:). xoxo from Ponder, Texas

Christy, Your vids are AWESOME and the longer the better as far as I am concerned!! And I never tire of watching you do your backgrounds!! I wish I had the money to sign up for all your classes and buy all the supplies I DESIRE from your shop but, alas, it is not to be. I am very excited to be joining you for your April class...I CAN'T WAIT!! Your art and enthusiasm are truly inspirational! As is your heart for powering through those days when the fibro is at it's worst. Love, Cat

Christy, I LOVE your videos! I am a FAN! I have needed to rest in bed quite a bit lately because of a pinched nerve in my back, and your classes and videos have been a superb way to spend the time! I prop my laptop on my stomach, settle in, and just watch. Occasionally, I even get a chance to play in my craft room! Imagine that. Thanks so much for the inspiration!
Fondly, Tami

you don't know me personally but you have been instrumental in inspiring me to get back into art which has helped me get a grip on life again after the loss of my only son. I just love you and Janelle and your videos and classes. I always check your shop first when I need (want)supplies.

Wendy aka Roo -- the heart stamp is by donna downey and super hard to find. it's a foam stamp mounted on acrylic...she has several others that are awesome, too, but the heart one is almost impossible to find any more. snatch it up if you do! the manufacturer is prima.
