Diane Hamiltom

I am a beginner trying to learn art journaling. I have watched hours of Youtube instruction/demo and have been TRYING my own journal pages (and a couple of times to copy). However I keep creating a mess and coming back to the same three questions:
1. Once I have used Dylusions Ink Sprays and/or Faber-Castell Gelatos, anything I try to do on top runs, smears, makes a mess. One video said to let page dry then with a dry brush apply gel medium on top to seal it...I tried that and the gel medium activated and ran the ink! How can I make layers permanent so I can do things on top?
2. I do not know how you get white on top of the layers...I have tried a white gel pen, a white sharpie, a white Faber-Castell paint pen and none of them work...they pick up whatever I am trying to write over.
3. How do you get ink stains off fingers? Hairspray did not work!

I would appreciate any suggestions!
Thank you! I really enjoy your art and love the videos! 😊

Still working away at your Boots workshop! I love your work!

Christy. I need to get some more of your scarlet lime pens but am not seeing them in your shop. Are you out of them? Oh I so hope not. Thanks Paula Decker Haynes
