Hello Lovely Friends!
Fall is such a great time to dig in and create, get messy, expand your creative wings and deepen your knowledge of the creative process! I am constantly finding new ways to learn and my art is constantly changing for it.. and I LOVE it. I find that when I stay in one place for too long, my art gets boring, it isn't fun to create, I find myself not spending as much time in the studio.. but when I explore new things, try new techniques, learn and explore new artists.. I always find that creative jump-start and through the process find a girl, or a technique I totally love! I hope through both of these ONLINE classes you will find new things to help bring your art to a new creative level!
Both classes are collaborations with other amazing mixed media artists.. and I can wait!
and the best part is they are BOTH online workshops! so you can take them from anywhere, anytime, in your pjs if you want! best of the best!
First off is Radiant Faces Workshop
with Effy Wild, Jane Davenport, Tamara Laporte, Dina Wakley, Kylie Fowler, Julie Gibbon, Jamie Doughtery, and Joanne Sharpe!
Each artist will focus on creating a different character including the Nymph, Mystic, Child, Girly Girl, Goddess, Artist, Dreamer, Stranger, & Watcher. These concepts will be explained in more detail in the class, but essentially, each face will represent a part of your self that you might want to get to know better and each lesson will be an opportunity to learn how to create a face that expresses that aspect of your inner life. With so many different styles of Girls and faces, you are sure to grow and find your OWN unique style throughout this workshop!

I would so love to have you join me in both of these workshops for fall! I still have plans to do a she art 4 workshop later this fall that include my quilt girls and flower girls I have been doing. So can't wait to share that with you later as well!
I hope you are all having a wonderful week! Wednesday we dropped braden off at the MTC (missionary training center) in provo, Utah!
(it was allies birthday that day as well, hence the tiara we made her wear as a joke lol)
He will be there for 2 weeks, before he head to Rochester, Ny, to serve for 2 years on his LDS mission! So many of you have been asking me what exactly does he DO on a mission, how come we can only talk to him twice a year, why we can't visit him, how come we only get to communicate through weekly emails.. and so I wanted to share with you a blog post i did a few months ago that explains what LDS missions are all about! You can find the link HERE. I am so proud of braden for wanting to do this on his own! he also earned most of the money to pay for his mission this past summer, and I am just truly excited for him. He was SOO excited to go, he couldn't stop BEAMING! of course I was crying.. but it was all good! This will be such a great experience for him and at age 18, he will truly come home a different person.. a much better, wiser, more compassionate person. This will be some of the best 2 years of his life. can't wait to see how he grows!
Happy friday!
xoxo
