 As yo know I LOVE using Rubons for textures on my canvases!! here are just a few examples!

AND of course my new Coffee Filters! (if you are taking ANY of my classes, you KNOW I love using coffee Filters on my backgrounds and girls, etc! Works just like Tissue Paper!! Love it!)

I actually decided to do them in plain White.. so that you can color them any color you want (they take paint and sprays WONDERFULLY).. so using a transparent paint like Claudine Hellmuth's paint, or Golden Fluid Acrylics.. works amazing!

My New Products with Pink Paislee! wahoo!

hello hello! Well I am writing this from Sunny but not so warm California. I am here with Allie and we are attending CHA Winter 2013.. (Craft and Hobby Association). It's the big wholesale show where manufacturers of Crafts, Art, Scrapbooking, etc.. debut their new product to us Retailers so we can order them and get them into our stores! I am excited because my second Release with Pink Paislee is being debuted as well! I have new rubons, stencils and printed coffee filters coming out!

 

AND.. I know i have talked about permanent sprays.. and those are still in the works.. but will probably more of a late spring release! I was sent sample of the products before I left and I played a bit with them and wanted to share with you some of them! These won't be available in stores until march 1st (SOO LONG AWAY lol).. but YOU KNOW without a doubt as soon as they are available we will have them! I will also be designing some new stamps with Unity that will be coming this spring as well! CaN'T WAIT!

and OTHER GOOD NEWS ... Pink Paislee is already re-releasing my favorite doily stencil, my stitching rubons AND my paper pad from last summer! So those will be available too! wahoo!

So want to see some peek? here we go..

The rubons.. of course I designed exactly what I would want if I was using them on canvas. They come both black and white to a page. I have Scallops and Doodles and lace and doilies and flourishes and so much more! 3 Different styles!

 

 

 

They are so fun to add texture on cavnas (I will show you some below in a project I made!)

Then of course stencils..

 

A Vintage Lace Doily, a fun doodle themed stencil and a flower stencil with 6 total shapes on it!

And last but not least.. printed coffee filters.. ALL of you know how much i LOVE to use tissue paper in my backgrounds.. and I wanted to come out with something similar but not quiet to fragile.. but still had the same weight and transparent nature that tissue paper does. I also wanted to do a print on them so they could be overlapped under or over paint or other papers for even more texture and depth. PLus you can use sprays to color them or transparent paints! AND the best part.. you can also use them to make flowers, birds, dimensional objects, besides just using on backgrounds for canvas. LOVE Them!

 

 

So.. of COURSE I had to play with them.. and make something.. I started with just canvas to create a backgrounds.. didn't have anything in mind for what would be on it eventually.. just wanted to play and create!

I I used the printed coffee filters above to create layers in my backgrounds.. See how they are transparent enough to see some of the color and texture underneath?

I also messed around with another canvas I was working on.. and put some on it too..(my big canvas from a few weeks ago.. the girl with a face.. still finishing and adding to her!)

then I added some paint and liquitex inks for drips and of course stamps for texture! and added MORE tissue paper and paint. Also started adding Rubons!

 

Then i used the stencils and added texture and design with those..

I also used the vintage Doily stencil on the other canvas i was working oN! Here's a peak of that!

 

once I got the background just where I liked it.. I honestly wasn't sure what I wanted to put on it.. so I just started writing words on it with my doodle pen. I wrote things like courage, brave.. forgiveness, she was true, she was calm.. and from those words I starting really feeling another indian girl.. but this time I wanted to have her be a little more simple..

At first I went for just short hair and had planned to do a headdress on her..

but she just didn't feel right.. so I decided to add a side braid..

and then she just started to come together..

I painted a simple dress on her but used my stencil with paint to create an embossed look around her neckline. I also painted some feather earrings.. and of course added a lot of shading with paint. Some cheeks.. and something I don't usually do.. but I added a nose. I felt like she needed one to kind create that indian ethnic flair i was going for and i LOVE how it turned out. Even though she doesn't really have a face.. with the nose she really does have a deeper personality.

 

You can see all the fun stuff like the coffee filters, and rubons and even the stencils!

I still feel like something is missing.. of course she needs words and I already have i mind what I want her to say... but I also want to add something to her hair as well. Maybe just a detailed wrap weaving in and out of her braid. Something. But I ran out of time before leaving for CHA.. so I will have to finish her when I get home! 

Soo.. there's the sneak peek! These will be in the store End of February, 1st of March.. I SOO wish it was sooner!! But that is when it is shipping to ALL retailers.. so we all just have to wait lol.

the only reason I hestiated doing one was because my son is a senior this next year and plays football (it's his one true love). And I will not miss a game.. kinda sappy that way. So i had thought there was no way I could do a retreat because I would need to go to the game on friday night of the retreat.. BUT ive had so many request for a fall one.. i started thinking..  the retreat women can either come with me to the game OR stay and paint at the art studio.. :) So I am considering it and will anounce soon if I do decide too. That way those can start saving now.

ALSO I will post soon the exact dates of the Mexico Retreat. For those that emailed with an interest to that one too!  Happy Monday!

okay, starting to feel the weight of not having a current video editor.. having 4 workshops that start within 4 months of each other, trying to adding 100's of new products into the Scarlet Lime store.. trying to get ready to move into a new studio.. AND dealing with this dang fibro admist all these storms for fall. Yea.. so my blog is lacking. Sorry it sucks right now. lol

Monday.. if my hopes work that way I want them too, i will have a video for you on the October Mixed Media kit! wahoo!

She was created... a new she art girl..

hey friends! it's friday.. I was going to do this post yesterday and gosh darn it all to heck.. I am having MAJOR problems with my video editing software! It all of a sudden has chose NOT to work. Annoying.. and so after much frustration.. I decided to just post this fun she art girl without the video (sorry :( but when I get it done.. I will SURLEY share it! )

I wanted to give you a quick update. I posted this week about my new line with Carson and Midwest. If you are a retailer and want to carry their products, email me and I will send you their address! As for those of you just wanting to purchase something for yourself.. I have a huge order coming in the next two weeks.. that will include; mugs, magnet boards, the lamps, aprons, wood boards,
magnets, resin girls, clocks, art bags (for brushes or other art studio products), IPHONE covers and mouse pads! I know I am forgetting something.. but there will be a lot of stuff! so I can't wait to share! It will be listed in my etsy store and should be listed by end of next week!

So let me tell you about my week.. last week Ben's wonderful parents come to visit. They were here a FULL week and while they were here, Granny Annie (Ben's mom) organized and cleaned and dejunked my entire art studio! The one in my garage! It was the biggest blessing ever! I didn't ask her too and when she first got here she said" now Christy I know you will say no.. but I would
love to organize and clean your studio for you.. I know you hate letting people do stuff for you, but I love organizing, so can I please do it for you? " I sat for moment and wanted to say no..because I truly have issues with letting people serve me.. it's more because I feel dumb than anything. But in my HEART i knew I needed the help. I knew in a couple of weeks that I would be moving into my new studio.. and would need my current studio organized enough that I could easily move it. And let me tell you it was a MESS! lol. Does that surprise you? probably not.

So I let her... and can I tell you.. she did the MOST AMAZING job!!! I mean she sorted everything! and put them in their own baskets or boxes.. perfect ready for me to move into the new studio where I have lots of furniture with lots and lots of organized drawers for everything to have it's place!

Well later in the week she came and asked me if she could have one of the she art originals I had in my studio.. and unfortunately it was one I had already made for someone else.. and had actually borrowed it back and needed to return it! lol

So I said.. why don't you let me make you one JUST for you? And I was so glad when she said yes! So we decided to do a portrait of her! She is in her 70's and has the most gorgeous gray/silver hair.. she is really tall and lean. (opposite of me.. but totally where my husband Ben and my daughter allie get their height and long legs from). We walked about her colors, and where the canvas would go. We
talked about her life and what she wanted it to say and words she had in mind. She even picked out some of the papers I used. Then she said in a chair and watched as I went to work on her very own She Art girl. I can't tell you HOW humbling and fun that experience was! It was a little nervous.. because I wanted it to be perfect for her.. but I truly enjoyed the process. So I wanted to share with you the canvas I created for her!

but before I do.. I wanted share something else with you!

So.. after this process, i started thinking about how fun it was to just create something for custom for someone. I have never done a custom piece before, where they had input on the girl.. as I said.. and while I was super nervous.. I ended up loving the process! I thought to myself.. how fun it would be to
offer this to my own friends, customers and blog readers! Soo.. Just to let you know.. i have added NEW originals to my etsy store again.. just a few this time.. BUT also have listed a custom She ARt girl original for anyone who wants me to paint one especially for them.

This custom canvas would also include a skype or phone call sesion with me.. as I would LOVe to get to know you and the reason I am creating the peice for you! I want to learn about your story and your heart.. things that move you.. colors you love. Words or phrases or scriptures that inspire you. I want this to be a TRULY custom piece! THEY ARE HERE!!! wahoo!

okay so most of you know.. (I always say that.. like you are all my friends lol)

but most of you probably know that last year I signed a contract with an licensing agent and soon after my artwork was picked up several companies for artwork on their products for 2012. Well while we worked hard on all of that lAST year I have been soo patiently waiting to see the actual product as it only started shipping this fall!  AND LAST week to my wonderful happy surprise! boxes and boxes of fun stuff starting coming! From all the different people I did licensing with.. fabric from Studio E, mugs, resin girls, plaques plates, journals from Carsons, Frames Art prints with Die-cuts with a view (featured in Bed, Bath and Beyond! HOW COOL!),  and then my biggest line, mugs, magnets, keychains, mugs, wood girls on stands, canvas, clocks, magnet boards, paper weights, pillows, cosmetic bags (I think they would be great for storing art brushes or alchool inks!), aprons, lamps and more! All with Midwest.. seriously my living room is overflowing with stuff!! I took a few pictures with my ipone because I just had to share.. so they aren't that great.. but oh I wish you could all see it in person!

I have started having friends text me saying they have seen them in their local home decor stores (in Utah and Arizona and california!) So they are starting to pop up everywhere! They just started shipping about a month ago to stores.. so that is super fun!

anyhow.. I will be carrying some of the things in my etsy store. Mugs, iphone covers, journals, and probably the resin girls, maybe some magnet boards.. heck I want to carry it all.. but really don't have the room for all the inventory in our warehouse right now! But  I will carry a few things! probably be here in the next month or so!

I am also in the middle of trying to find another online store that carries my products.. all of them, since I won't be! BUT you can go to their website and click on find stores and put in your zipcode and It will pull up any stores near you! I just did it and surprised to find 12 stores in my area that carry them! I live in super small town! So that is awesome! Gonna have to go check it out!

Ben's Parents are in town and they have been amazing and helping us around the house, at the warehouse, with dinner. Well Granny Annie (ben's mom) cleaned my entire studio!! (my current one).. she organized it all so when I move in a couple of weeks to the new studio.. I can pack and unpack easier! SHE IS AMAZING! it took her three days! She has wanted a piece of artwork for a while.. so I decided to just go out and make her one.. just for her. A portrait of her. So she and allie sat and watched and we talked while I made it for her.. and she reminded me I should video tape it and share it on my blog! So I did.. SO I will share that this week!

well hello! i finally DID IT!

Well hello sweet friends! We are BACK!! What a fun and relaxing time we had. We pretty much did nothing on the cruise. and it was PERFECT! We kinda skipped all the excursions this time around.. and we didn't miss them a bit (not to mention we didn't miss the $$$ cost involved either lol)

So guess what? We are REALLY bad.. we forgot our video camera and our regular camera and my phone died the first day and I left my charger in my car.. didn't think I would need it and WE DIDN'T TAKE ONE PICTURE!!!!!  Actually I think Allie took ONE.. just one.. but it's on her phone and she's not really sure how to share it. lol

I can't believe it! I am like the picture taking freak! oh well.. we still have the memories right? I will have to write down in a journal everything we did.

and speaking of things we did.. guess what I DID?? I decided at the last minute to take my portable easel, paints and some canvas so I could do some art on the ship! and I actually did! I even created some stuff in my art journal on the plane ride too. It was fun. I NEVER take my art supplies on family trips. The fun part was my kids got involved and one morning, we had a painting session in my room. We had towels spread out all over the floor and we just painted. I only brought my acrylics, my water soluable pastels, my golden fluids, and my Neo Color Crayons.. so it truly was just painting.. but it was fun. I worked on one of my class projects from a workshop I was taking from Mindy Lacefield. It's a mini workshop called  (you can sign up here)

I am really into animals latley.. so I thought this would be fun and it WAS!

okay.. so did you happen to notice my header? YEP! that's right.. I changed it.. decided I Needed a facelift of some sort. I also added all of my workshops to the right sidebar over there.. so you could find them more easily. I am going to be changing some of my sidebar things very soon.. excited to update this old blog..

BUT did you notice my newest addition to my header? My new link?  My "etsy" shop? Yep! That is RIGHT!! I have opened a NEW etsy shop!! FINALLY! after a year of wanting too.. needing to I guess.. i  finally did it.

Let me tell you why it took me so long though.. this is really personal.. so bare with me.

so you may or may not know that I don't sell any of my original artwork. I actually have only given away a handful of prints. All to really close friends and ONE I donated to an auction for another close friend. AND last year.. I took the plunge and did sell one of my original artwork pieces to a dear friend I had met through my classes.. she emailed me (love you laura) and she pursauded me with a very dear story about how one of my pieces had touched her heart.. I had such a HARD time letting it go.. but after hearing her story and knowing her funny and sweet personality through my classes.. I KNEW it was right and it would be going to a good home. So I sold my first piece of art.  Its funny because I teach my art.. I license my artwork, I have sold prints at some of my events before.. but NEVER my originals.

The reason being that they are so dear to my heart! I start to get this ancy feeling in my stomach about letting something I Love so much and that has a story behind it go.. and also selling it to someone I don't know. But latley as I have been organizing my studio to move to my new studio.. I realized I really can't just take all of it because I don't have the space for it. And right now it just sits in piles on shelves. SO then I thought.. well I COULD sell it.. and then again.. had a freak out moment.. of seperation from my art, and someone not loving it as much as I did. SO I stop and cast that idea aside.

Well a couple of weeks ago a friend of mine texted me about a piece of art she had seen on my blog.. she said she really wanted to buy it and told me the reason why. She said she had been going through a really rough time (which I had known about) and that this particular piece when she saw it, helped her to see things in a new light. It brought this ray of sunshine into her life and she really really wanted to purchase it to have as a reminder each day that there is hope and life is beautiful. After talking back and forth I decided to go ahead and sell her the piece. But it got me thinking.. this friend I mentioned was ANOTHER beautiful women I had met through my online classes.. someone who had taken my courses and through them I had found friendship. Then i started thinking.. you know I have found SO many friends through my workshops.. thousands of new friends.. women and even some men and children.. who have never done art before.. who have taken my online classes and other classes and through these have found themselves as artist.. I have countless emails of people finding thier voice and their joy through ART.. and it makes me SO happy!  These people are truly people who I care about and consider friends. All of you are friends. So that's when I decided to just go for it.. open up my etsy shop and start selling some of my original pieces.. KNOWING that while they have very special meaning to me.. whoever decided to purchase  them will love them just as much. I know because I have started collecting art from some of my favorite artists.. original pieces.. and they are VERy dear to me... and the speak to me and they have special meaning to me. LOVE collecting art from other people. So I have taken the leap and swallowed my anxiety about letting them go.. and realizing that they will be going to wonderful caring homes.. you might laugh at my anxiety over it.. but it's seroiusly a big issue with me.. lol. I'm a dork. I know :)

 

SO I am starting out small. Just listing a few originals each Week.. or every other week.  Right now I only have originals in my store. BUT in the next couple of weeks I will be listing prints as well. Anyhow.. so today is the first day of my shop being open! Yeah!!

I have listed 7 of my originals.. here are just a few of the ones I have chosen for this week.. (eek! I am SO nervous!!)

WHen you go to my etsy shop, i write a little bit of each of the paintings I have listed.. the story behind whey they were created. so you know a little bit more about me :)

 

Some of these you may have never seen before as they created and shared only in my workshops.. or some of them just for me..

 

 and probably my most favorite one  of the bunch.. one that I shared on my blog as a free print in THIS blog post.. and had a LOT of meaning to it..

so there you go! eek! this is exciting and scarry at the same time! lol.. who knows.. maybe that won't even sell.. but at least I am finally cutting some apron strings and letting some of these go.. and realize that through sharing these.. I am also growing myself!

I will let you know when I add new things to the shop! My prints will be coming soon. and will post about it here when they do!

TLC.. some exciting news.. and some VERY inspiring music!

So I haven't really talked about this yet.. but alot of you have already emailed me or facebooked me saying "i just saw you on TLC!! you are in their commercial for their new show called Craft Wars! "..

so I guess the secret is out and okay to share!! (we were under strict secrecy NOT to say anything until the show aired! lol).. so I guess it's safe..

YES! So many months ago I posted about them contacting me to apply to be on it! So  I did.. and after month's of waiting.. I  was finally notified I made the cut and  asked to come be on! I was allowed to bring an "assistant" with me.. and of course.. no brainer.. chose my husband ben. He can build, craft, do ANYTHING.. including sewing (gotta love a man that knows how to sew!).

So we traveled to California back in March and taped our episode! Crafts Wars is much like the show Cupcake wars.. where each week 3 new contestants come on the show and they are giving a challenge that must be completed in a certain time. After the challenge is over.. 3 judges critique your work and then basically kick one contentstnat to the curb... lol.Then the other two compete is the ultimate challenge for a $10,000 prize!  talk about cool! Tori Spelling is the host and I can tell you it was ONE of THE MoST amazing.. fun experiences ever! Ben and I had such a good time.  I would do it again in a heartbeat!!   We also found out last week that our episode will be the FIRST to air!! TOMORROW!!!  on TLC! Here is a little sneap peek on it! lol oh so lovley.. I tell you I am really normally nice when I am not under pressure! lol

 

I think it's set to air at 8:00 PM MST (so 10:00 Eastern, 9 pm Centrel, and 7 PC).. but check your local listing to make sure. I really can't wait to watch it either! SOO nervous too! lol.. can't wait to share more of my experience with you after it airs.. but since I can't tell you what happens.. I will have to wait!! :)

ANOTHER cool exciting thing for today is that FINALLY after seriously a year of begging my baby brother, Van Campbell, for his music.. he has compiled a CD with all the music I use in my workshop videos and youtube videos!

fun fun stuff.. always excited to share..

okay so I have a few things to share today.. so bare with me! it's a LONG post! but worth reading!!

first off.. many of you already know that last year I signed a contract with licencing agent, Painted Planet Group. AMAZING AMAZING group!! I have to say! Love working with Jan!!

Well IF you are taking my living canvas class.. you also know that this year.. I had to really take a close look at my life and re-evaluate it. While last year was a whirlwind of excitement for me and SO SO many good things happened to me. SO blessed.. I also found myself involved in so many things that I didn't have time for the most important things to me.. family being one, my testimony, my trues. and myself I guess. I also realized (while working with a friend of mine).. that my passion in my work wasn't designing and painting for companies to put my artwork on products.. but my passion was TEACHING.

 

Sharing my art..

 teaching others how to do my art..

both in person..

but mainly online..

 helping others discover themselves through art and inspiring others to be and do better not just with art but with life in general too.

I realized that while i absolute was so thrilled to have licenced my art in the home decor and fabric world.. I wanted to focus on my teaching as well.

HOWEVER through the process of last year.. I was able to collaborate with some AMAZING companies to bring my own line of products out this summer.. and i have been waiting SO long to announce this!!  I feel so lucky and blessed and EXCITED to have my first   line of products coming out with a few amazing companies. I can't share all of them yet.. (will as they debut this summer).. but I one big company I did my largest line for was Midwest-CBK.

And I can't tell you what a privileged it was to work with them! In November of last year I flew out and met with them (which by the way.. TOTALLY loved their offices.. in this quaint little town out in this rural setting.. big trees and a stream running through their outside grounds.. simply amazing).  We met and talked about packaging and ideas for my art to be licencing on and was so excited over the next few month to see it all come to fruition! Lampshades and pillow and mug and wall-art and paper weights and oh so much more! I remember coming home one day from a trip and they had sent me samples of all the things for me to approve and ben had laid them out all over our living room and dining room and I was in AWE of what I saw!!! So excited and SOO wanted to just squeal and share it with all of yoU!!! Lol.. but of course.. had to wait.. until the official launch.. (which happened last week and will debut at the july show in Atlanta).

So here is just a PEEK of what I did for them!

 

I wish I had taken pictures of the samples.. BUT the good news is that I am ordering a lot of these items to sell in our store and will also get samples of each one.. so when they do come will take lots of pictures and post them here! But I do have a catalog.. and took some pictures of it!

Super excited for this!!! Midwest was AWESOME to work with and really can't wait for this line to be in stores.. and my own store! We will carry alot of this on our Scarlet Lime website.. so watch for that late summer!

okay.. so now onto my second part of news..

last week I was reading my friend, Art's.. facebook page and he had just posted a new weekly challenge.. (He has been doing this awesome weekly challenge on youtube for the last month or so.. they are called initiatethechange... all having to do with changing your behavior to live a happy better life.

 
THIS one really spoke to me (well they all do lol) but this one in particular because I AM SO BAD AT IT!!! it is a media fast for an entire day.. meaning.. NO phone (meaning NO texting or calling), no internet.. which include facebook, pinterest (my newest obsession).. no checking emails.. NOTHING.. and INSTEAD to spend that day being PRESENT with those around you.. really SEEING them. Listening to them. Be IN The MOMENT with them.. (so goes along with our living Canvas workshop too).. 

 

 

 

SO I have decided to do this challenge too! TOMMOROW!!  which for me.. since most of my "work" is on social media.. I am going to take the day off and spend with those around me. HERE.. where I live.. being present with them. Think I might spend the morning at our new house.. helping Ben.. He is in the process of gutting the old farmhouse.. so he can rebuild and add on!( He is an amazing home buider so I can't wait to see what he does with it! I will post pictures next week on the before and during.)

Its gonna feel weird not to have my phone glued to my hands! lol.. but I can DO IT! (i hope!!) lol and speaking of Art and teaching.. Art was over yesterday and we were filming in my garage for week 6 of the living canvas workshop and he created the most beautiful canvas!! A few weeks ago I did an art day with him and his family and it was so fun because none of them had ever done mixed media art before.. and now I think i have them all hooked! It's been so cool to watch even him.. a guy.. really enjoy it and get into the process!

Sunny California and some super fun spring classes

Last week Ben and I headed to Sunny California for a work trip and i have to say.. i didn't even mind that we were inside working from 6 am until 9 pm at night.. it was still so nice to wake up to warm! The last day of our trip we drove down to Newport Beach and soaked in the sun and just literally hung out at the beach all day until our flight left that night. Didn't even have our swimsuits.. just hung out and watched the waves in our jeans and shorts. The sun felt SOO good!! We got home late monday night and have been spending the week playing catchup (I left my laptop on the counter at home.. so came home to over 900 emails.. but honestly with the schedule we were working in California, don't think I would have been able to even stay on top of them.. we were exhausted at the end of each DAY and my eyes closed the minute I hit the pillow each night).

I can't wait to tell you about WHAT we were doing in California.. but I am SWORN to secrecy for another few months.. but when I can.. you BET I will be shouting it from the rooftops!! can't wait!! lol.. seriously fun and amazing experience! But so glad to be home again.. missed my kids!

This week Ben, Art and I have been filming some short sneak peek videos for my upcoming class Your Living Canvas..

 If you read my last blog post, you know this workshop is a HUGE workshop for me! 6 weeks!! And it's probably one of the most meaningful and soul searching workshops I have ever done. I mean I KNOW It is. Is so dear to my heart! So I really wanted to give every one a taste of whats in store for it.. so starting next tuesday I will be posting on one sneak peek a week.. one for each week of the workshop.. of what's in store! I am super excited about it. AND Art and I were talking all this week about how we REALLY want to get people started now.. preparing for the workshop because it is so deep and meaningful.. and we want to make sure everyone come prepared for it.. we started a private facebook group for those who have already joined and starting next wednesday we will be posting pre-course challenges and fun art exercises to get you ready and prepared for the course! So as soon as you sign up for the workshop, you will be invited to that group and can start in the fun! I have never put so much thought and detail into a workshop before.. but I want this course to be everything it can be! Full of life changing experiences, Moments of clarity.. new art techniques you learn, and fun messy play.. all into one. I won't spoil what it is..but i encourse each of you to do it too! I have done this before a long time ago and remember how it affected my life. I have a huge need to do it again.. and so this weekend plan on writing one..

So.. you are going to think I am crazy.. but we are headed out of town AGAIN.. this time with our kids! Last week was our spring break and since ben and I had to be in California for work.. we decided to pull our kids out of school for a few days and head to someplace warm (since we woke up to SNOW this morning?? Hello and happy easter??)   We haven't told them yet.. it's been hard keeping a secret all week.. but today at noon we are heading to school to grab them all for a fun family road trip back to California.. just sitting on the beach, swimming in the ocean (or the pool).. nothing fancy.. just some seriously needed family bonding time. These last few months have been a bit crazy for our family.. really crazy and we have just felt the need to give some major attention to our kids.. let them know how much they mean to us and they are important to us.. Part of my new resolution of being PRESENT and having BALANCE (which you will learn about in the New Living Canvas workshop).

So once again we are headed out of town.. for a few days.. AND guess what? THIS time I am leaving my laptop at home on PURPOSE. no work will be done on this trip!!  I'm going to make sure my kids know it is ALL about them! Im truly going to be PRESENT. But I will be back here tuesday (or wednesday.. you never know with me lol) to show you another sneak peek of this workshop!!) and next week I also have a fun Behind the Art post for you as well.
