I had a blast creating this two-page layout with my February Frugal Fab kit. The colors in this kit are super fun and summery, so I decided to pull out some photos from a summer vacation to Boston I took with my husband. I kept the design pretty simple, balancing two patterned paper blocks with small embellishment clusters and a symmetrical title. Using two different colors of cardstock for each layout was not only easier than searching for a perfect match (now you know my real motivation!), but it added some visual interest to this simple layout.
My favorite part of this layout is the title--and it was a complete accident! Basically, I wanted to use the word "beautiful" but was out of blue letter stickers to spell my title. I considered die-cutting letters from patterned paper, but was looking for a simpler look. I decided to experiment and drew the word in pencil. I loved it immediately and drew over the design with pen. I added a brad instead of dotting the "i" to add some color and flair (Note: This is a gereat way to add sweet little details to your layouts!)
So there you have it--a relaxing layout about a relaxing trip! Have a great Wednesday!
Cute layout Keshet! I love two-pagers and use them a lot. Thanks for the inspiration. . .
