hello! SO excited to be here!
I have created a fun whimsical canvas for you using the October Mixed Media kit from Scarlet Lime!
These kit are still available for purchase HERE.. or you can sign up for a Monthly subscription HERE on the Scarlet Lme Website!
I added a few simple supplies as well:
A deep edge canvas, Mod Podge, Faber-Castell Big Brush India Ink pens, the FAMOUS Scarlet Lime pen, Signo Uni-ball pen (white), craft paint, Helmar 450 glue, staz-0n ink, Bombay India Ink, Ranger Alchohol ink, Hero Arts stamp, stencil by Christy Tomlinson, bubblewrap, punchinella, Ranger heat tool, and Tim Holtz scisscors.
I started by covering the canvas with various torn papers from the kit with Mod Podge .
I brayered on a few different colors of paint, and used the Mr. Huey’s ink from the kit with a stencil and stamps to created the background. ( I just love that roller stamp from Glitz!) I then used India ink to create some drips here and there.
To create the flower blooms, I tore various size circles from the paper pad and glued on the wood veneer shapes. I cut apart a few of the shapes to get the hearts and petals on some of the flowers. I used paint, Faber-Castell pens and rub ons to decorate the flowers.
Next, I created the flower vase using one of the 4X6 cards from Prima. The leaves are drawn on with one of the india nk pens and highlighted with rub-ons and a white pen.
I found a quote I liked at www.thinkexisit.com , cut out the words, glued them to the canvas with Mod Podge and added a little doodling and more paint. That’s it!
I hope you enjoy the October kit! Robin
